Fees for instrumental lessons

Students at Suzuki Hub have three things to pay for: private lessons, group lessons, and London Suzuki Group membership.

Group lesson fees are £82 per month and if you hire an instrument from us that costs an extra £8 per month. This covers one instrumental and one musicianship group per week. All Hub students pay monthly throughout the year (ie a twelfth of the total each month, regardless of how many lessons you receive that month). Over the year you pay for 35 group sessions, and receive 33 actual weeks of groups, plus two concerts charged at the same rate as a week of groups - a Solo Concert in Spring, and the Groups Concert in Summer. Please note that all students pay for both these concert opportunities whether or not they are able to attend. They are a highlight of the Suzuki Hub calendar so we hope they will be a priority for all our families.

Private lessons cost £23 per week and if you pay monthly that comes to £65.17 per month. This is for a weekly 30 minute individual lesson. You will be offered 34 private lessons a year.

London Suzuki Group membership is £9 per month. All our students are members of the LSG as they support our students with bursaries and help us put on large-scale events such as our groups concert at Shoreditch Town Hall, which would be unaffordable for us without their support. They also offer their members many other events throughout the year, such as playtogethers, workshops, solo concerts, and busking.

If your family income is less than £35,000 you may be able to get help with your private lesson fees. There is help available for families wishing to enrol two or more children whose income is £60,000 or less a year. Info on the process is below.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Suzuki Hub is committed to enabling as many families as possible to access Suzuki lessons, regardless or ability to pay, special educational needs, or any other circumstance. If you are a low-income family and you want to bring your child to learn with us but are worried about the fees, please email us in order to find out how we can help.
